What qualifications do corporate speech language pathologists hold?

All CORSPAN members in the United States have earned either a masters degree or a doctorate. They hold the Certificate of Clinical Competency awarded by the American Speech Language Hearing Association, along with licensure as required for each individual state in which they practice. CORSPAN members practicing outside of the U.S. are in compliance with their individual national requirements.

Is speech pathology a medical profession?

Although speech-language pathology services are sometimes provided in a healthcare setting, the profession is independent of medicine and is also provided in schools, private offices, the home, or in the workplace. Speech-language pathologists sometimes refer clients to physicians, and physicians sometimes refer patients to speech-language pathologists.
